Reflection

In my classroom, I try to organise the environment in a simple and structured way so that students feel comfortable and focused. I arrange seating to encourage participation and interaction, and I keep the classroom clean and organised to reduce distractions. I also create a friendly atmosphere where students feel safe to express their ideas.

To establish boundaries, I set clear rules and expectations at the beginning and remind students regularly. I treat all students with respect and expect the same from them. I also listen to their concerns and handle problems calmly, which helps build trust and a positive learning environment.

I have noticed that when the classroom is well-organised and respectful, students are more engaged, confident, and willing to participate. However, if the environment is not well-managed, students can become distracted and less motivated.

From others on the course, I have learned that giving students more responsibility can improve their behaviour. One idea I would like to use is assigning small roles, such as group leader or timekeeper, so students feel more involved and responsible for their learning.
