As a volunteer teacher, the first day when I had to teach the students, I realized that I had used some of the Five Competencies in my teaching. I usually start with one activity about writing down their feeling in sticky notes before I start my lesson. By doing this, they can also know their feeling as a form of self-awareness. Moreover, I also use the flip chart and stick it on the wall. Then, I tell them to write down whatever they want to know or feel. Some of them can know about their friends' feelings and what they desire. I use this as a social awareness, and then, their friends and teachers who read these words on the flip chart will also be aware of their students' needs. 

I think I could use all the lesson plans or SEL games from the International Rescue Committee resources in my teaching, because all of these lesson plans are really valuable for our teachers to get to know about our students and how much they can develop themselves in what they are focused on.
