Reflection

Since i am not a teacher, but i were a teacher, I would organise my classroom to be simple, clear, and welcoming, so learners feel comfortable and know what to do. I would try to arrange seating so students can work together .

To create a positive and safe environment, I would set clear and respectful rules with my learners. We would talk about how to listen, respect each other, and support one another. I will also try to be calm, fair, and consistent in my actions.

When I volunteered, I have noticed that when the classroom is organised well and students feel safe, they participate more and behave better. However, if the environment is not clear or students feel uncomfortable, they may become quiet or distracted.

I have read useful suggestions from others in the course, such as using regular check-ins and giving students more chances to share their thoughts. These ideas can help improve my teaching practice.

One idea I would suggest is starting each class with a short emotional check-in. This helps students feel seen and supported, and it creates a safe and positive learning environment for everyone.
