I help my learners talk about their emotions by doing simple check-ins and asking questions like how they feel at the start of the lesson. I'd only taught children. Mostly, they didn't have much to depress. It was easy to make them happy. But still, there are some special cases.

To understand their feelings, I observe their facial expression, behavior, and participation, and I also listen carefully when they speak.

I use group work and games to support their social and emotional development. I encouraged them by telling stories and showing inspirational films from the Bible.

From this course, I can use more SEL strategies.
