  • How do you help your learners to identify and talk about their emotions?

I usually start with games and then share some of my life stories. This helps students feel relaxed and comfortable. I encourage them to talk about their friends’ stories or their environment first so that they feel more confident to speak. After that, I slowly encourage them to talk about their own feelings. I also let them know that they are not alone and that I am there to support and listen to them.

  • How do you find out what your learners’ needs are with respect to their social and emotional well-being?

I find out students’ needs by observing their behaviour, character, and background. I also try to build a close and trusting relationship with them. When students trust me, they are more willing to share their problems and feelings. This helps me understand their social and emotional needs better.

  • What activities have you used to support learners’ social and emotional well-being and development?

I use meditation and breathing exercises to support students’ social and emotional well-being. These activities help students feel calm, relaxed, and more comfortable to think and talk about their feelings. It also helps them control their emotions and reduce stress.
