In my classroom, I have used a few simple activities to support my students’ social and emotional well-being. One activity I often use is a “Feeling Share” routine, where students can talk about how they are feeling before we start the lesson. This helps them feel heard and more relaxed.
I also use small group discussions, where students can share their ideas and listen to others. This helps them build confidence and learn to respect different opinions. Sometimes, I include short games or energizers to make the class more active and reduce stress.
Another activity I use is giving positive feedback, such as saying something kind about each other or recognizing students’ efforts. This helps build a supportive and respectful classroom environment.
From these activities, I have noticed that students become more open, more engaged, and easier to manage. They feel safer in the classroom, which helps them learn better.
