In my math class at Minmahaw, I use the principle of compassion by starting with a “Feeling Share” to support my students’ well-being. I also use integrated learning by asking students to create budgets for real-life community needs, so they can see how math is useful in daily life. My goal is to show respect to my learners by giving them important skills, like budgeting and digital skills, so they can become independent leaders despite the challenges of displacement.
