One activity I can use in my classroom to create a safe and emotionally supportive environment is a “Reflective Emotional Circle Game". I would like to separate the activitity into 3 sections such as the physical activity, emotional activity that encourages students' emotional health, and lastly the mind games that sharpen students' critical thinking and creativity. However, in this activity, it will focus more on the emotional activity. In this activity, students will sit in a circle and take turns sharing how they feel using simple words like happy, tired, worried, or excited (They can also use a whole sentence to describe how they feel, if they want it). If some students do not want to speak, they can point to a feeling card or draw their feelings instead. This activity is simple and does not need many materials, so it is suitable for an ordinary classroom. This activity can be used in any time or situation such as the greetings or introduction part, also, every morning, afternoon, and evening sections (To know how the students feel and review it befor and after school), and then after every project, group works, or discussion, let them seek a personal REFLECTION (it is okay for them to keep it if they do not want to share their own reflection to their peers, it is their choice, and it should not be forced) to let the students know their own improvement.
I would like to use this activity at the beginning or ending of the school day or before and after starting a lesson. This will help me understand students’ emotions before learning begins. It is especially useful in my context because some students may come to class with stress or personal challenges, and they may not be ready to learn immediately, and express thier feeling confidently.
This activity will help students learn because it will make them feel safe, understood, and inclusive, and they can focus better in class. It also helps them develop social and emotional skills, such as recognising their own feelings and understanding others. When students listen to each other, they learn respect and empathy. It also builds confidence, especially for shy students, because they have a chance to express themselves in a simple way.
At the same time, this activity creates a safe and supportive learning environment because students feel that their voices matter. It shows that the classroom is not only for studying, but also a place where they are cared for. This can reduce fear and build trust between the teacher and students, as well as among students themselves.
For the teacher, this activity also helps with classroom management. When I understand how students feel, I can adjust my teaching and support them better. For example, if many students feel tired or stressed, I can slow down the lesson or give more support. It can also reduce negative behaviour, because students feel heard and less frustrated. Overall, this activity helps create a positive classroom atmosphere, where students are more ready to learn and behave well, and enourages them to learn more about thier own emotions through the times of reflection.

I will discuss based on these three criteria
- Clarity & Detail:
I think you have clearly described everything in detailed.
- Learning Environment:
I was also a bit worried about some of the students who don't want to share their emotions to others. But as you have mentioned using the feeling cards would solve this.
- Effectiveness:
I think this activity would be quite effective for most of the students in general. This would help teachers understand the general condition of the class and make teachers easier to know what to do next.
