Sharing my activity and peer review

  1. Propose an activity that you can use in your classroom to create a safe and emotionally supportive environment for learning;
  2. Describe when you would use the activity (e.g. at the beginning of the school term; at the end of the school day etc.);
  3. Explain how the activity helps students learn and also creates a safe and supportive learning environment;
  4. Explain how using the activity can help the teacher manage the classroom or the learning space.

(For teenagers)

  1. Include a 15 minutes silent time during  the class. (they can read books, take nap or do whatever they want but the rule is to stay silient)
  2. In the middle of the school day, when they have many new things to learn.(e.g. every subject teacher teach lots of lessons on that day)
  3. This activity would let them have their personal time. Being silent and focusing only on themselves make them know themselves more. They will have a time to listen to their inner unconscious mind. This would keep them relax, less stress and regain energy for the next lessons.
  4. It is easy to follow and really effective. This small activity would let the learning space become more interesting and fresh, which helps the teacher easier and better to manage.

Peer Review

Upon reviewing the activities you give, I think it is somehow good and appropriate for the classroom. But I just want to add few things to make it more effective. Don’t just say students can do whatever they want, because some of them will do homework instead of rest, so need to be more specific and block some things.
