Learning from the course

There are many things that I learned from this course. Those are really useful for me to get to know the responsibilities as a teacher, and how I should respond if I face a lack of resources, and how to handle the problems on my school campus, especially in conflict and crisis environments.

In this course, I also get to know many contexts that are really valuable for me to make my students more active, gain knowledge, learn with perseverance, and build healthy relationships. The first one is six conventional methods (acquisition, inquiry, discussion, practice, collaboration, and production). This context makes me understand what kind of activities I use, and it is related to which topic in this method. Furthermore, in the VPLP framework and ecological system theory, I also get to know how the wider contexts in which we all live can affect what happens in the learning environment.

In addition, I also understand that the five competencies and counselling sessions are important in our learning to help students to get to know about themselves and for teachers to understand and be aware of their students' circumstances.
