Today is a short day for reading as the theory follows on from day1.
Tanner (2012) suggested a phased approach to problem solving to help with metacognitive skill development:
Pre-assessment: What do we already know about the situation?
Muddiest point: What bits most confuse us?
Post assessment: What went right? What went wrong?
Journals: Keeping a reflective journal of their thinking.

For the rest of today try using Tanner's phased approach when you come across a situation that you need to think about
