Challenges

I am a language teacher with limited experience in face-to-face teaching, as most of my teaching has been conducted through Zoom. In my context, one of the main challenges is designing engaging and effective exercises for online classes. Finding materials that can meaningfully support students’ learning is particularly challenging, especially when students have different language proficiency levels.

To overcome these challenges, I have used a variety of digital tools and activities. These include PowerPoint presentations, flashcards through Quizlet, and interactive exercises such as providing short texts and asking students to guess meanings or ideas by drawing pictures. These strategies help maintain students’ attention and support different learning styles.

However, I am not fully satisfied with my current teaching methods and would like to develop more attractive and effective lesson plans for my students. When students lose concentration or do not pay attention during lessons, I feel frustrated. This motivates me to continue improving my teaching practices and to design lessons that better engage and support my students’ learning.
