The VPLP Framework: education as Victim, Perpetrator, Liberator, Peacebuilder

Learning this topic, education can play many roles, but sometimes it can be in a way of downside with the political and conflict situation. Learning this VPLP, Education can be a victim, because violence makes schools unsafe, causing closures and loss of learning. Second, education can act as a perpetrator when it is unfair, biased, or excludes certain groups, which can increase anger and conflict. However, education also has positive roles. It can be a liberator by helping students think critically, understand their rights, and improve their lives. It can also be a peacebuilder by promoting equality, respect, and peaceful problem solving. This enlightens me more of how important of education can shaped in a way of positive and negative to major and minority in difficult situatuion. Therefore, it is important to make education inclusive, fair, and focused on peace.
