Introduction

I am Zai from Myanmar, currently residing in one of the refugee camps in Thailand border. I had some experiences of working as a volunteer teacher in IDP camps back in Myanmar. 

I attended high school at the government school in Kachin State, where I felt threatened and always afraid of teachers to get scolded or beaten.

Come to think of it, I have never really had the best experience of learning until I get to Thailand and attend Minmahaw Higher Education Program. 

I would say I had the best experience of learning in Minmahaw, where the teachers are supportive, and the whole environment feel safe.  

In my opinion, the learning environment where every students feel equal, safe, and supported give a student the best experience as well as the best improvement.
