As a displaced person, the difficulties and challenges always come. By reading the story related to teachers struggling, I remember myself again as an undocumented immigrants how struggle for safety, living, and housing.
Let me give examples in the past. It was happened four years ago and the time I came to Thai-Myanmar border by crossing the river on foot without permission to avoid war and secure for living.
When I was in Thailand, I was just 17 years old and worked for living in an industry as an undocumented worker. No having a legal document made me encounter exploitation from employer and made me afraid to go outside.
Furthermore, even if I wanted to go clinic because I was feeling sick, I didn't dare to go. Likewise, there are so many life who are worse rather than me.
To avoid this difficulty, I decided to make legal document. Unfortunately, the agents cheated on me and went away although they are burmese.
That is why I started to make police card cheaper once a month. But consider it is not official.
Later, I did make pink card after saving income from work and getting money from my family.
We don't have to look at problems steadily, instead, we have to seek the path to escape from issues.
Sincerely,
Kyal Tar Yar Soe
