a day life in camp
I volunteered as a teacher in my camp in 2024-2025 school year. As a full time teacher, I have faced many challenges. Being a teacher was not easy in the camp because there is not enough materials or time to manage the classes and the lessons. I was so afraid to teach in front of many students without any training and teaching experience. During one year, I was sturgling with many difficulties such as overcrowded classrooms, lack of school materials and full of duties. At that time, I just finished my high school and I also had to continue my studying. I wake up around 7 and prepare for school and help my parents for meals. After that I go to school early to prepare for the classes. Next I attend morning meeting every morning. Then I start my classes at 9 am until 3 pm. After school, I come back to home and waiting for my pupils to start my tutoring. At 6pm, I do cleaning and help for dinner. I always have dinner around 7 with my family. After that I do lesson plan for the next day. If I finish early, I continue studying English through Youtube or textbook. I usually go to bed at 11pm. In one year, I have seen many different students who are not listening to the teacher, always upset, and fight. Without teaching experiences, I was so shy or have no ideas to control them, guide them and teach them. But other teachers and management teams' contribution, I gained more confidence to speak in front of my students and had strong relationship with my students. I also gained other skills like communication skill, leadership skill and teaching skill. Despite these challenges, the successful of the students and teamwork with my community inspire me to be strong and take all of my responsibilities smoothly.
