Digital Tools

In my teaching at the migrant school, I often use Kahoot! as a primary digital tool. When looking at the Conversational Framework, Kahoot! strongly supports Practice and Acquisition because it gives students immediate feedback on what they have learned. It also encourages a small amount of Discussion when we stop to explain a difficult question. However, we must also consider accessibility; in a community with limited internet or few devices, digital tools can sometimes make students feel left out if they cannot join. To create an inclusive environment, it is important to choose tools that are easy to use on a phone and to combine them with "offline" options so that everyone regardless of their technology feels welcome and capable of participating in the lesson.
