Digital Tools

  • What digital tools, if any, do you use in your teaching?

I use FreeForm, the default sketch board in my laptop to explain my lessons. As the teaching platform, I use Zoom meeting and Lark . I have telegram group chat for each class as a study group. And for asking quizzes, I use google form most of the time. I allow all the students to use any websites or search engine even AI tools to get their answer. But I also make sure they do not copy the answers directly.

  • Considering the Conversational Framework and the six learning types that we discussed in steps 1.8 and 1.9, what types of learning do these different digital tools support in the educational context you work in?

recorded videos support learning through acquisition

allowing students to use search engines, online dictionary support learning through inquiry

telegram group chat supports their group discussion

Google form for asking quizzes and tests support learning through practice

I still need to design more of collaboration and production

  • What else should we consider when choosing a digital technology?

We need to make sure that we get used to the tools that we will be using. It is true that using digital tools make the teaching much easier but only if we know how to use it effectively.

  •  You might want to think about accessibility, or how it feels to learn online. For example, are some tools more effective than others in creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone to learn in?

Learning online would a lot more teachers' effort. Teachers need to be able to create more interactive learning using tools creatively. All the tools are effective in its own ways, but the important thing is the teacher's communication skills and using those tools in effective way which is flexible for both teachers and learners.
