My main reflection is that this theory helps me see that a student's struggle with math is often systemic, not personal. While I work mostly in the Microsystem, I must be aware of the Chronosystem (war/displacement) and the Techno Subsystem (digital access) to be an effective teacher.
My question for the community is: How can we, as teachers, protect our own Microsystems (our mental health) when the Exosystem and Chronosystem are so stressful? Understanding that we are part of these systems too is the first step toward being resilient educators.
