Education in settings of conflict and displacement

Education can be a victim when it is disrupted by violent conflict that breaks out. A perpetrator if it spreads bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A liberator by giving knowledge, and a peacebuilder by promoting understanding.

Schools are often targets because they represent the community.

Teachers can support critical thinking by encouraging questions and ideas.

Teachers can promote peace by teaching respect.
