I strongly agree that education plays multiple roles, as I have personally experienced different forms of education throughout my life.

Education becomes a victim during conflict times. When conflict occurs in a region, it can damage schools, learning spaces, and essential learning materials. The loss of these basic resources, combined with unsafe conditions for both teachers and students, which makes difficult for learners to access education and to continue their studies. For example, the situation in Myanmar.

Education can be defined as a perpetrator of violence when the education system feels like inequality and is biased for some. For example, in the official Myanmar curriculum, certain parts of Burmese history have been emphasized while the histories of some minority ethnic groups' history have been excluded. We can see it as a one-sided contribution to marginalize some.

Education can also be a liberator because it is a powerful tool for empowerment. It is like the students from the conflict-affected regions, because their challenging backgrounds can motivate them to use education as a tool to support their communities

Finally eduction can also be a peacebuilder because school can be a safe place or a teacher can create a supportive and emotionally secure learning environment.
