Thinking about a context in which you are working, or you know well share your experience in the forum about:
- In what ways is education a victim, perpetrator, liberator and/or peacebuilder in your context?
In my personal context, I encountered with the context of education as perpetrator in camp where the majority of students in my former school are Karen major ethnic group and there are few of Burmese and other mixes like me. Most of the time in classroom teachers are kept talking how they had suffering under Burmese military rule, they lost their home, possession and love ones due to the military. Over time the students started generalize that they are suffering because of Burmese people. So start group bullying (words and targeting mentally)and Burmese students were feeling discouraged to continue studies.
- Why are schools often the target of attacks?
Personally, I think the school become the target of the attacks because this place is represent power and knowledge, since the history had shown many example that some political leaders are afraid to educate their citizen in chance of the citizen might find their flaws. The fear of overthrown and opposed them.

Teaches can be help by encouraging students to think critically, ask question and share their ideas. Teachers can create the safe learning environment where all students feel comfortable and respected.
