In my teaching experience, I faced challenges with limited resources and students struggling with English vocabulary. To solve this, I created simple flashcards using recycled paper and asked students to draw pictures to represent each word. We also built a word wall together. This not only improved their vocabulary but also made them more engaged and confident.
I also created an emotion chart to help students express their feelings, especially because many of them come from difficult backgrounds. This helped me understand them better and create a safer classroom environment.
These simple, handmade resources showed me that effective teaching does not depend on expensive materials, but on creativity and understanding students’ needs.
