From my experience, I can relate to Urie Bronfenbrenner’s theory because I have seen how different systems affect students’ learning. At the microsystem level, I try to build trust with students, especially those from difficult backgrounds. At the mesosystem, I have seen that communication between teachers and families can help students improve. At the exosystem, issues like limited school resources or policies can affect students even if they are not directly involved. At the macrosystem, cultural beliefs, such as attitudes toward education, can influence whether children attend school. The chronosystem is also important because many students have experienced major life changes like displacement. Finally, the techno subsystem shows how access to technology can support or limit learning. This theory helps me understand that teaching is not only about the classroom, but also about the wider environment affecting each student.
