How do you establish boundaries that create a positive and safe environment for learning?

I establish boundaries by setting clear and simple rules in the classroom. At the beginning, I explain what behaviour I expect from students and why it is important. I also try to create these rules together with students so they feel responsible for them .

I build positive relationships with my students by listening to them and showing care and respect. When students feel safe and valued, they are more likely to follow the rules.

I also use positive reinforcement, such as praise and encouragement, to support good behaviour. At the same time, I apply consequences in a fair and consistent way when rules are broken.

In addition, I help students learn how to manage their emotions and behaviour, for example by teaching them to calm down and think before they act.

By doing these things, I can create a positive and safe learning environment where all students feel comfortable and ready to learn.
