Space for listening to learners

I would like to share my experience as a violin teacher. Before starting a new lesson, I always checked the students’ expressions and made some fun activities to help reduce their stress or pressure. I also began each morning with a review session. Before introducing a new lesson, I asked them what they thought it might be, encouraging them to guess and improve their understanding.

I regularly asked them honestly whether my teaching methods were effective or not. In addition, I evaluated their level every week. Based on the results, I adjusted the lessons and then continued to the next stage.
