Through VPLP frame work, it helps me to understand the negative and positive strategies work on school contexts. Through this, I can see more clearly how the conflict in education, and peace are important to be interconnected. In my context, conflict doesn't appear as disruptive behavior, it can be from misunderstanding and external factor in students lives. This encourage me to view behavior more empathetically and response matters in different situations. Promoting a sense of fairness and respect in the classroom feels to build peaceful learning environment.
The Ecological Systems Theory helps me to know different layers the behind of the children influencing . It reminds me that students are not only shaped by the classroom, but also families, communities and wider society contexts. I realize when the micro doesn't work, it leads to macro system. So, it needs to be awareness to build strong relationship with students and understand their individual backgrounds.
These concepts help me to respond to students emotional and well being. Offering opportunities for students voice, and teaching social skills to contribute to a more positive environment. This learning gives me the ideas about delivering content, but creating safe space for students.
