Reflection

I organise my classroom so students feel safe and focused, with seating that supports group work and quiet spaces for those who need them. Boundaries are set through clear, agreed rules that help everyone know what is expected. When the classroom is structured and predictable, behaviour and learning improve, but when things are less organised, students can get distracted. Reading others’ ideas reminded me how useful it is to involve students in setting expectations. One idea I’d share is starting each class with a short “check-in” routine this helps students feel heard and ready to learn, and it’s something other teachers could try too.
