Reflection

In my classroom, I try to organise the environment in a simple and clear way so students can feel comfortable and focused. I usually arrange seating so students can see the board clearly and also work together in small groups when needed. I also try to keep the classroom clean and structured, so students know where things belong. To create a safe and positive learning environment, I set clear rules with students, such as respecting each other, listening when someone is speaking, and not laughing at mistakes. I remind them that the classroom is a safe space where everyone can learn without fear.

I have noticed some positive effects of this organisation. Students feel more relaxed, and some shy students start to participate more when they feel safe. However, sometimes there are still challenges, like some students losing focus or not following rules, especially when they feel stressed or tired. This shows me that I still need to improve how I manage behaviour and support students emotionally.

From others in the course, I learned that giving students more voice and responsibility can help improve behaviour. One idea I found useful, which I also applied, is involving students in creating classroom rules together, so they feel and more likely to follow them. I think this is a good idea that I can use more in my classroom, and it could also help other teachers create a more positive and supportive learning environment.
