Post my questions
What are your reflections on the learning you have been through this week? Have you been able to interpret your own teaching context in terms of the way that education, conflict and peace are interrelated in the VPLP framework? And what about the Ecological Systems Theory - can you make sense of it in your context?
Throught this week, I have understood my role as a teacher, not only as a educator who offers knowledges, but also as a person who can support students to live with diginity and hope for a better future. Considering this, I think I can interpret my own teaching context in terms of the way that education, conflict and peace are interrelated in the VPLP framework.
Furthermore, I understand that students are influenced by many different systems such as family, school, and community, through the idea of Ecological Systems Theory. As a teacher, I plan to have strong influence at the classroom level, and to connect with other people and organizations to better support my students. This make me realise that teaching is not only about what happens in the classroom but also about understanding the wider contexts of stuents' lives.
In what ways do these concepts and theories help you understand what children bring to the classroom and how you can help them?
Ecological Systems Theory ( it helped me think more about how different fators affect students' learning and behavior.)
VPLP Framework ( it made me reflect on how my teaching practices can either support or limit students.)
As a future teacher, I would to like serve as a liberator and peacebuilder by encouraging them respect, inclusion, and positive relationships in my classroom.
Please post your thoughts, and also take the time to read through and react to what others have said. We will take into account what you say in these conversations as we revise and develop the course for this and future runs.
The leassons I learned share students' hopes and challenges are very useful. They help me understand what students are facing challanges. By listening carefully, I plan support them to develop in learning and personal growth.
