One activity I use is called a “Feelings Circle.” Students sit in a circle and briefly share how they feel or something about their day. They can choose to speak or pass if they are not comfortable.
I would use this activity at the beginning of the day because it helps students feel calm and ready to learn. It also helps me understand their emotions.
This activity supports learning by building trust, improving communication, and encouraging students to listen to each other. It creates a safe environment where students feel respected and supported.
It also helps with classroom management because students feel understood, which can reduce negative behavior and make the class more peaceful and focused.
