Do you have activities or routines that you use regularly to create space for listening to learners?
The activities that I use regularly to create space for listening to learners is self reflection . I usually do this activity after the class. I give them a piece of paper and let them to write down what did they have learned today, how was it, do you like teaching methods, how was your improvement after learning today lesson, and what do you want to know more. By doing like this, I feel they can understand their situation and confident level more. For me , when I read the letter that they wrote , I can understand my students situation , what did I need to improve, what do they want, which methods do I need to use to improve their learning styles. It was really helpful for me. It is also one way that giving active listening to my students.
