share your experiences

I have started to apply some ideas from Weeks 1 and 2, especially focusing on creating a more supportive and inclusive learning environment. For example, I tried to build stronger relationships with students by giving them more opportunities to share their thoughts and experiences in class. This helped some students become more engaged and confident.

I also began to think more about students’ backgrounds using the Ecological Systems Theory. Instead of assuming all students learn the same way, I tried to be more flexible and understanding of different needs and situations. While this is still challenging, it has helped me become more patient and responsive.

Additionally, I made small changes to my teaching by including more discussion and interaction, inspired by the Conversational Framework. This made the classroom feel more active, although managing time and participation is something I still need to improve.

Going forward, I plan to continue applying these ideas by designing activities that support both learning and students’ social and emotional wellbeing, especially as we begin to focus on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL).
