  • How do you help your learners to identify and talk about their emotions?

Normally, I ask the question "how do you feel today?" as it is the easiest way and least time consuming. But since this is a very common question, some students do not really take this as a question that need to be answered seriously. And since I teach English, students have logic that, when someone say How are you?, the answer should be I'm fine, thanks and you. So , instead of telling the true feeling, they just answer in a very common way.

  • How do you find out what your learners’ needs are with respect to their social and emotional well-being?

I used question and answer method in private as well as in class. It worked up to some point as I stay very close to my students. Most of the students like talking to me and sharing their problems with me. However, it doesn't always work for all students. But now I have learned many new methods. I really like using the Blob tree method. It is easy to proceed for every student and i think quite accurate to know each's feeling.

  • What activities have you used to support learners’ social and emotional well-being and development?

I use multiple activities, in most cases, I use music. I think music is a language that everyone can relate to without learning it. In every activities, I include music; during game session, meditation, and even in lessons.
