One activity I use to embed important principles in my teaching is a group-based project where students work together to solve a real-life problem. For example, I ask students to plan a simple event or project, such as organizing a small class activity or creating something useful for the school.

Through this activity, I embed several key principles. Respect and compassion are encouraged as students listen to each other’s ideas and support their group members. Collaboration and inclusion are promoted by ensuring that every student has a role and contributes to the task. I also apply integrated learning by combining different subjects—for example, students use maths to plan costs, language skills to present their ideas, and creativity to design their project.

This approach helps students see the connection between what they learn in class and real life. It also builds their confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Even with limited resources, this type of activity is effective because it relies more on interaction and creativity than on materials.
