I help students name their feelings using mood charts so they have the right words to speak up. I find out what they need through quick daily check-ins and by watching how they act in class. sometime to help them grow , I use breathing exercises to stay calm and group games to understand more teamwork. This makes the classroom feel safer, though it can still be hard for students to stay calm when they are very upset.
