In my math class at Minmahaw, I start with a “Feeling Share” to support students’ well-being. Then, I ask students to create budgets for real-life community needs. This helps them understand math in daily life and build useful skills.
I think this activity is very helpful because it supports both learning and students’ feelings. The real-life task makes math more interesting and practical. To improve, you could add more group work so students can share ideas and learn from each other.
