This week, I learned about social and emotional learning and how it is important in teaching. Students have different feelings and problems from their family and community, which can affect their learning. As teachers, we need to understand this and support them, especially if they have experienced trauma.

I learned that listening to students and giving them a chance to share their feelings is very important. Creating a safe and quiet classroom can help students feel comfortable and ready to learn.

Even though teaching in difficult situations is challenging, teachers can still be creative and support each other. This week helped me understand how to better support my students in both learning and emotional well-being.
