When I was a violin teacher, I try to embed supportive principles in simple ways. For example, I value patience, so I remind students that mistakes are part of learning and prove them during teaching time. I also ask them to listen carefully when others play and I always tell them "If you want others to treat you well, you should treat them well too". I give small goals they can achieve and celebrate progress because I want them to be confidence. Sometimes, I let them play violin in front of a lot of people because I want them to be confidence and proud of their self.  I usually plan duets or group practice to help them learn cooperation. This can improve their teamwork skill and can also improve their problem solving skill.
