This week I found the activities and discussions very helpful for thinking about how to build a safe and supportive classroom environment. I especially appreciated learning practical strategies like check-ins and drawing activities, which give students a chance to express emotions in ways that feel comfortable for them. Reading other participants’ posts also gave me new ideas, such as using role-play or anonymous sharing tools, which I think could work well in my own context.

Across the course, I feel I have gained a stronger understanding of how social-emotional learning connects to classroom management and student engagement. It has reminded me that small, consistent routines can make a big difference in helping learners feel respected and ready to learn.

One general question I have for the educators is: how can teachers adapt SEL activities when working with very large classes, where it is difficult to give each student individual attention?
