How to Use Our Coloring in Pages for Spanish Learning for Kids

You can let kids color while listening to the story at home or in class. This works especially well for restless or highly active children who need something to do with their hands or who get fidgety when sitting still.

For children who enjoy listening to stories at bedtime or while walking, bathing, or doing other activities, you can use these coloring pages later or the next day along with the word puzzles as supplementary learning material.

Talk with the child while they draw. Point to objects in the picture and say their names in both English and Spanish. Ask them what a certain object is called in Spanish and let them answer. Mention the names of colors in Spanish. You can also ask them to label or point out items in the picture with the correct Spanish words.

All of these gentle, playful activities reinforce the Spanish vocabulary they naturally picked up while listening to or reading the story earlier, without turning learning into schoolwork or a stressful test.

All activity sheets are provided in printable PDF format and can be printed at home or at school.

Each coloring page is available as a PDF that you can download and print.
