This step introduces you to the fundamental principles of learning design and materials that are known as Open Educational Resources (OERs). You will think about what you need to consider when selecting OERs. You will also be introduced to the Academic Professional Practice strand and how to use a teaching diary.

- Read the APP Guidance on Teaching Diaries and reflect on how to use your teaching diary to make changes to your practice as a teacher.
- Write a teaching diary entry about your online learning design strand learning so far using the Teaching Diary template.
