Postmodern Art
Postmodernist art is an essentially eclectic art, hybrid and without hierarchies.
In this sense, it is considered an antiart. It explores playfulness, humour, metalanguage, a plurality of genres, polyphony, intertextuality, irony, fragmentation, and deconstruction of principles and values. It focuses on trivialized daily life.
The "spectacularization" mentioned by many critics and which roughly means "making a spectacle" is a trend applied to the arts and postmodern culture.
We can verify this “spectacularization” with the advancement of the media and the digital age, where the simulacrum becomes real, even if it is not. In other words, simulacrum replaces reality itself. Finally, unlike modern art, postmodern art values public participation and interaction.
