Biofouling
Biofouling
Biofouling is the growth of organisms on surfaces to form a bio-film or slime. This bio-film allows other organisms to attach, establish and grow. Biofouling is a significant problem in the aquatic environment and can interfere with the accuracy of sensors and measurements.
