How to navigate this course

Screenshot of course navigation barThe course is divided into four units and some units are further divided into sections. You can navigate through the materials using the navigation block to the left of the main content (screenshot shown here on the right). This will show the unit you are in, and the pages within it. Clicking on a unit title that has a downward arrow showing will expand it to show the content. Clicking on a topic title that has an upward arrow will collapse the content that is already showing to make it easier to navigate to the next unit.

The material consists of textbook-style sections, supplemented with video presentations. At the end of each section is a short quiz where you can test your understanding of the material that has been presented.

Video material is hosted on YouTube, so you can use the caption options on the YouTube player if you wish to show auto-generated captions in English or any other available language.

Where links are provided to other websites or materials, these will usually open in another browser tab. However, you can force this behaviour by holding down the control (Ctrl) key on your computer keyboard at the same time as clicking on the link.

If you are enrolled in the course, your progress is automatically tracked and you will see a progress bar and ticks on the main contents page. Content pages are considered complete once you have viewed them. Quizzes are marked as complete once you have achieved a pass mark.

If you complete all the activities in this course you will be awarded a certificate of achievement and badge which can be displayed on social media sites etc.
