The CROPS Responsible Scaling Cycle

View

The CROPS approach conceptualises scaling as an ongoing and non-linear process rather than a fixed trajectory.

The following interconnected dimensions underpin both trainings:

  1. Reflection and purpose

  2. Internal capacity and governance

  3. Ethical grounding and participation

  4. Adaptability and resilience

  5. External engagement and communication

  6. Partnerships and funding relationships

  7. Institutional influence and sustainability

  8. Continuous learning and adaptation

Training A primarily focuses on dimensions 1–4, while Training B focuses more strongly on dimensions 5–8. However, the themes are deeply interconnected and should be understood as mutually reinforcing.

Diagram of the connection between internal foundations and external engagement shows that influence and partnerships depend on strengthening core project capacities while continuously reflecting as contexts evolve.
