ANEETA: Thanks, Sherine, for the question. One of the most important ways to consider the barriers to reporting is to put ourselves in the shoes of victims or survivors of abuse, exploitation or harassment. What are they feeling? What would encourage
them to disclose or speak up against what has been done to them or someone else they know about? When we consider these matters, we are then in a better position to develop safe and confidential reporting mechanisms, which survivors are comfortable
to use if they choose to.
Sherine has a question: What should we be thinking about when we are considering barriers to reporting?
