Hello Ruth! Fantastic video, thank you for being open to using this medium to let us know more about you and your work. The issue you raise of not having control over the choice of resources for your courses is pretty common in some post-secondary schools. Things are changing (slowly of course), but I like your choice of supplementing and experimenting with OER that might offer your learners choice (and possibly more interest) in the types of materials they're using for learning. I look forward to your presence in the course as we go along. I know I saw a couple of ECE and education specialists posting already. I hope you will be able to connect and support each others' explorations.

Hey, Ruth!

Great to meet you!  So, you teach Early Childhood Education?  That's what my master's degree is in.  I teach Child Development for a community college in the California Central Valley.

I'll be looking forward to working and learning together with you for at least these two weeks (or maybe even longer!).

Hi Marvin! So nice to see more ECE presence!

Are you familiar with the California early childhood mentorship program? I used a lot of their materials in developing a mentoring program for our college.
