One thing I think about is that when I'm sharing an image, I don't want the stupid license on the image.   So I tend to send out a link to it and say "It's CC-0 -- do whatevver with it!!"   Big dog is greater than little dog;  middle size dog = middle size dog and little dog < big dog

Agreed! I didn't like putting the license on my photo. Then I saw Steve's photo and his licensing line underneath that looked so professional. I'm going to try it that way next time!

There's nothing like an attribution to muck up perfectly good graphic design. I will sometimes include image credits at the end, especially for icons. Including them is a great service to the person considering using your resource though (and also your copyright quality assurance supporters).

Good point.   The easier it is to make things totally unarguably legal and free ... the more likely it is to be use.d
