GLAM OER in curriculum

I had a hard time coming up with a GLAM image that could be used within my disciplinary area (digital literacy), although I think some fun could be had with historical representations of ‘cutting-edge’ technology, like this gem:

A sketch of a hot air ballone design - first in pieces, then deflated and then inflated with a man waving a French flag.

For a course I was instructional designer on, we created a TimelineJS comparing and contrasting feminism in Canada and the U.S from 1920 - now. Learners contributed ‘events’ to the timeline with accompanying images/video/audio from GLAM OER. Was interesting to see each nation’s contexts as you could tag/view entries by country. Could see this would be a useful example for other topics you could compare and contrast by region, people, beliefs and practices, etc.
